Inagural

Here we go on our first post here on Musings and Mashups. After weeks of planning and bouncing ideas off of each other, the day has finally come. Aww, getting all emotional.

To recap from our "About Me" page, we've started this blog to get good music out there, not promoting any particular style or genre. "Musings" comes form what the bulk of our posts will be about: simply writing about good music we hear, and "Mashups" will be the infrequent home-produced mashups that we collaborate on to produce.

So anyway, we've got four songs here for you

Collect Call is just one of those chill dubstep remixes that you can play over and over again. We are both vehement enemies of Skrillex and when first confronted with an Adventure Club remix, skepticism was immediate. Without further adieu,

Collect Call (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) - Metric

Next song here is an old Kid Cudi that was originally produced in the early 2000's but was finally released in his demo 'Rap Hard'. Cudi seems to have two types of songs, one group of upbeat ones like Up, Up and Away, and another group of sad, much more thoughtful songs like Rain. We both enjoyed it, so you better also

                                     Rain - Kid Cudi

Now this next track is a remix to the popular song Please Don't Go by Mike Posner. The track keeps Posner's smooth electronic background but adds some pretty sexy synths.

Please Don't Go - Mike Posner (Manila Killa Remix)

Last but of course not least is one of our own creations, engineered by Jacob. Not to toot our own horn, but we are very proud of it. It's mashed from some unique songs, "Big Oliver Remix" Sneaky Sound System" and "Say Yeah" by Wiz Khalifa and "Get Low" by Ludacris. Boom.

Say Yeah + How Low + Sneaky Sound System
